The Fifth Dimension

Welcome to the fifth dimension

AHH! As you can see it's not unlike the 4th. We just keep adding a new direction perpendicular to all the others and you got yourself a new dimension. It is not all that hard but figuring out where to put the other direction is very hard. We don't even know where the direction for the 4th dimension is yet, why think about the 5th? - Because... we can measure higher-dimensional objects, we contemplate the meaning of the universe and so forth.

Some of your basic 5-D objects:

Hyper-hypercube
Hyper-hypersphere
NOTE: Each "hyper" adds a dimension. (the cube for three and then 2 "hypers" makes 5 dimensions)

  • The 1st Dimension:

    This is simply a line. It is lowest dimension that allows more than one inhabitant because the Zero dimension is a point. Not too exciting.

  • The Infinite Dimension:

    In my opinion it is the so called time dimension every one is talking about. dimensions lower than the infinte would be the space dimensions. Maybe infinte space and infinite dimensions is time.

  • The -3rd dimension:

    Whoa!!! wait a second... a negative dimension? - YES! it is possible and in my opinion this is where those negative distances would be that you get when calculating measurements.
