Velocity and Acceleration
Velocity
- differs from speed because it includes direction
- since direction of an object can change even if its speed remains constant, an object can be accelerating when it has a constant speed
- an example of this would be a car, traveling a constant 35 mph rounds a curve
Acceleration
- rate of change of velocity
- can be calculated by the formula
