I am astounded by the fact that the earth is only 8,000 odd miles in diameter because from my home in Adelaide, to Sydney takes me 14 1/2 hours to travel, a distance of about 1,000 miles. So to me, the world has just shrunk in size by about 50%. Great site and very informative.
