We would like to express our deep concern regarding the situation of the political prisoner, Mr. AHMAD BAKHTARI, who is in a great danger of execution by the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the reports published by Reuter and governmental newspapers in Iran, quoted from the Supreme Council of Justice, it has been decided that the case of Mr.Ahmad Bakhtari, who has been brutally tortured and treated at Evin medeival prison of the Islamic Republic of Iran for years, condemned to ten years prison and spending his term of prison in a unfairness situation and tried (in so-called Revolutionary Court) once again on the basis of another groundless excuse and condemned to death sentence, to be sent to Supreme Court of Justice for the final decision. We persistently wish you, as a person, who is responsible observer on human right in Iran and all progressive and international organizations for defence of human rights, to protest against the death sentence of the said person and to put the Islamic Republic of Iran under a real pressure to stop the death sentence.
