[Markus
Okay, ran into a bit of a snag this time. I'm sending you my entire reading for this particular card. I also had trouble correlating it with the day, since I'm not even sure I read it correctly, since I don't know the symbolism of the lizard as it relates to the tarot or even pagan things. Thanks!
Always,
Angel]

[Five of Coins]

[Of course, five coins pictured on the front. A small short tree, with no leaves and few branches, roots showing. Some sort of lizard on the tree. A woman, with a cloak behind her, her right arm raised to her head, part of the cloak resting upon her arm. From that gesture, I can only use myself as a reference. When I use that gesture, I'm usually frustrated about something, because whatever tactics I've used for the particular problem have failed. Exasperated, perhaps, would be a better word. Or perhaps she is lifting the cloak from over her face, and is seeing things, for the first time, clearly.]

[Her gaze is directed at the lizard. I'm not quite sure what he is supposed to represent. Somewhat of a mystery there. I'm not getting any impressions, except that he seems to be an important symbol. He is smooth, green, more like a snake with legs, no exceptional markings or mannerisms, such as a tightly curled tail. Coins indicate things of a financial nature. So, perhaps the woman is confronting her financial situation, for once, head on, instead of hiding her head in the sand, so to speak. Oh, I think I may have it. The tree is bare, indicating lack of wealth to me, but the lizard, perhaps, means that help is on the way, that the situation is about to change. Note to myself: send Markus this entire reading, for his help in interpreting the tree/lizard symbolism.]

If the woman is standing the way you do when you get frustrated (or exasperated) there is a very good chance that woman does represent you (since next time you may not feel the same). About the lizard, I'm unaware of the significance (I knew of the snake because of my curiosity from Genisus portrayal of it and looked into it) however, your thought pattern relative to the tree (and it's signif as lack of wealth) and the presense of the lizard as a sign of change is excellent! That is exactly how one should get to the interpretation, not based on previous reads, the book, or any information another can add to the "real" meaning of something. One thing that does strike me about lizards is that they have been here for a long time! They are stable, so while the woman is looking at her financial situation and not hiding from it, she also understands that (while she does not like her present $$ status) she is not going under, so to speak. So now I ask... being that the woman very likely represents you, how accurate is it? :)

Final side note: coins are a substitute for pentacles and imply material, but not necessarily financial.

Blessings,
Markus

PS Do you have any major events comming up? If so, I would like you to do a full Celtic Cross reading for it. To find out not only how well it will go, but also, why it will proceed as such and what part you will play. I have faith in you, let me know how it goes. :)
