From Regents College promotional literature:

"... established in 1971 by the Board of Regents of The University of
the State of New York. Established to remove barriers to education
for adult learners, Regents College has conferred over 76,000
degrees"

With 26 degree programs, there are two associate degrees and one
baccalaureate degree in nursing, these being an Associate in Applied
Science (Nursing) [AAS(N)], an Associate in Science (Nursing) [AS(N)]
and the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) [BS(N)]. Over 11,000 of these
degrees have been issued.

Finding out about the Regents College Nursing Programs is just the
first step in your educational process. It may have been the hardest
of all. For me, it was through word of mouth. Now, with the electronic
world, hopefully it will be easier for many to find out about Regents
College Nursing Programs.

The actual nursing portion of the associate degrees are six theory
examinations, and then one clinical performance examination (CPNE).
You also have to get 30 general education credits for the degree.
Send for the catalog.

In the back of many magazines, various private companies offer
study guides and assistance for completion of the Regents College
Nursing Programs. I can not offer view on these, but others have
spoken well of some, and others not. Buyer be ware!

The study guides from Regents College are simple outlines. It is very
much an independent learning process studying for the Regents
College Nursing Examinations.

This page is a open area for posting the study guide and my
follow on expanded notes so that others are free to use them.
The whole program at Regents, now EXCELSIOR College,
has changes, and with that change, a new set of exams,
however,hopefully these pages are a help.

The notes were not completed for Common A & B, but
I have written these two examinations, successfully!
Sometimes you just have to get on with it.
My notes continued, again often not complete,
but one just has to write the exams!
I found that doing the review of the questions my best
learning experience preparing for the examinations.
Hopefully I will get time to add to my notes as I continue to study.
Learning is a life long process, and I am now at half a century.
And with over twenty five years in EMS and related areas!
