The Delta Iota chapter is involved in many service activities in and
around the Florida A&M University Bands. The ultimate service required
by member of our chapter is their unswerving committment and dedication to the Marching "100"
Band. Above all the chapter's participation in and leadership of the
Marching "100" band continues to be our ultimate service project.
The average member of the chapter marches for at least four years and
is either a drum major, section leader, or rank serjeant. These are
a few of the numerous activities done by the chapter:
Band Day
Rattler Strike
Springtime Tallahassee
Christmas Recital
Summer Band Camp
Special Performances
Cleaning the band field and music building
Assisting the band as needed
The
chapter divides its service to the music department into three concentrated
areas: leadership, projects, and support.
LEADERSHIP- Members of the chapter are required to take a proactive
role in all aspects of the Marching Band and to provide guidance and
direction when needed.
PROJECTS-
The chapter annually takes on new projects to build the morale of the
band and promote the fraternity in a positive aspect.
SUPPORT-
DI continures to aid the cause, policy, and interests of the Marching
"100" band through its support of the numerous programs, ensambles,
and events held or sponsered by the music department.
