well, it's the waiting game now. my folks spent the night in wisconsin and should be here today. i'm waiting to see if our publications get here in time for me to go to canada with them. it's a drag really.....the publications were slated to go out on July 10th, but they say we're closed on the 4th of july (duh), so i'm stuck here waiting and not knowing. they are due to arrive tomorrow in my office...i already have the 1,081 stamps waiting for them.

i'm looking forward to this trip. i've yet to get into northern minnesota and canada is entirely new to me. most likely we'll drive the southern parts of ontario and manitoba. i know i want to go to the wolf park in ely, mn. it's an open book, just like most of our family vacations: always drive, never fly....you miss too much, no reservations...you may sleep in the car at a rest stop with the truckers.......especially if you try to go to south dakota any time near the sturgiss rally. our vacations are about time together....looking at all of the pretty stuff to see. and i imagine we may pan for gold somewhere......

if you have an addictive personality, please back away from the keyboard.......don't read this post!!!

i stopped over at gardenweb this morning. i find useful information in the forums there, and i like to give advice when i have it, too. it's a karmic circle really. if you've ever traded tapes you know what kind of payment this is.....you spread it around, because tape traders are generally fairly cool people. there's a philospohy to it. today i found what i should have supposed......plant trades!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah! go to the forums for exchange or just peruse the other forums and see what is wanted or to be had.....and as a girl told me today....quit your day job.

i got an early e-mail from a sweet lady in california right after my initial post. she explained things to me how it typically works and was so kind. tonight a very nice lady also from cali offered to help me get started and is sending me starts. so now i think i need a page with my plant list....perhaps, coming soon..........
