.:| Feb. 01, 2001 ~ Moves up to #10 on the Leafs all time points leader. Records his 500th point as a Maple Leaf!!
.:| November 27th, 1999 ~ Mats gets his 400th Point as a Maple Leaf, He got 2 goals in a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
.:| November 6th, 1999 ~ Mats plays in his 700th NHL game, gets 1 goal to play to a 3-3 tie with the Devils.
.:| November 3rd, 1999 ~ Mats first game back from when he fractured his ankle, he gets 2 pts, 1 goal, 1 assist. The goal being his 300th in the NHL, in a 6-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
.:| Oct. 11/99 ~ Mats "Iron Man" Streak comes to an end at 259 games, after a puck hit his ankle and fractured it, during the game vs the Senators Oct.9th/99.
.:| As of 1996-1997, only 7 Swedish Players had scored 40 goals or more in a season. Mats has done it twice. In 3rd with 47 goals with Quebec in 92/93, and 7th with 41 goals with the Maple Leafs in 96/97.
.:| Mats first pair of skates were home-made. He simply strapped two blades around each shoe and tied them in place with a strap.

.:| Set the NHL regular season record for fastest goal from the start of overtime, when he scored just 6 seconds in against St.Louis on 12/30/95.

.:| In the 1996/97 season he had two career milestones, when he scored his 200th goald on Oct. 31 VS. The Islanders, And then on Dec. 3rd he got his 500th career point VS. St. Louis.
.:| On January 30, 1999 playing against the Washington Capitals Mats get 2 assists, the first one being his 200th assist as a Maple Leaf and the second one being his 400th NHL assist.

.:| Mats has been leading the Leafs in goals, assists, total points, ice time, face-offs won, and take aways among forwards.
.:| Mats is the only player in Playoff History to get two Penalty shots in the same year. One was against the Philadephia Flyers in the First Round Action on April 22nd, He Missed against John Vanbiesbrouck. The Flyers won that Game 3-0. The other Penalty shot was May 29th against the Buffalo Sabres in the Semi-Finals, which he got [Sabres won 5-2]

.:| He wears the number 13 on his Jersey, but says he is not superstitious. "I had number 13 when I played as a kid in Sweden. Maybe it's because my birthday is on the 13th of February, but I can't say, because I had the number since I was very young. When I turned profressional with the Nordiques, 13 was available, so it was natural to go back to the number I was wearing throughout my childhood."
