Pork in Cider

This recipe combines several ingredients provided
by Devon Farms - Pork, apples, and cider.

Ingredients

4 Pork chops
1 medium onion
2 eating apples
1/2 pint cider
1/4 pint stock
3oz Butter
2oz flour
Salt & Pepper

If your kids saw Babe
you can use Chicken instead
.
Method:

Flour & season the chops and fry them in the butter till brown. Remove and set aside. Peel, core, and chop the apples, slice the onion, cover & fry these in the pan slowly until soft. Stir in the remaining flour and cook for 1 min, then slowly add the cider & stock. Bring to the boil, put the chops back, cover and heat for a further 30 minutes until cooked.

There are a great variety of ways to cook this dish. Some are done in the oven, others include cream. A pub in Kingsbridge serves it with a whole baked onion! I personally serve this with Mashed Potatoes.

More to come, but it depends on you to send them.
