We will remember him from...

We didn't really remember Troy McClure from such films as "Gladys, the Groovy Mule," or "The Muppets Go Medieval," or "The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West," or "Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly," or "Dial M For Murderousness."

We probably won't remember Troy McClure for such stage plays as "Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!" Nor from infomercials like "I Can't Believe They Invented It!" (the one for Dr. Nick's juicer?).

On the other hand, we'll always remember the man behind that voice, and the voice that brought us Lionel Hutz, Attorney at Law (and his alter ego, Miguel Sanchez). We'll remember Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, Admiral (Who am I? Why am I here?) Stockdale, Charlton Heston, the maniacally manipulative Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and the myriad other characters Phil Hartman gave us on the tube. It's over way, way too soon. Thanks for the laughs, man.
