Welcome to my NEW and improved site. As you may know I am the webmaster of the **Vanessa Atler** website. I decided to expand my page and cover my second favorite gymnast, Jamie Dantzscher. I want you to know, that my Vanessa Atler webpage is still up and is a large part of this site.

The Glider Girls, as they have come to be called, are two of the most dynamic and competitive gymnasts I know. Vanessa Atler is a gymnast that does not hold back. She throws all of her tricks and goes after them aggressively. Jamie has a very classical style and executes her skills very well. She lets her gymnastics speak for itself. Although Jamie and Vanessa are very different, they make a great duo. Not only are they learning from their coaches, but they are learning from each other. Being the same age, makes practice that much more easier. They are both struggling under the same code and the same age rules. So, they can really bond together and encourage each other.

Their friendship, in and out of the gym, is very inspiring. Always having to compete against each other must be stressful on their friendship, but they still maintain a close realtionship. These girls are truly role models.

Even with all of their great gymnastics, it is their perserverance and heart that makes them champions. They always put their hearts and soul into each and every competition. They struggle at times, but are determined to get better. Their main goal is to make the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. This page will report on their improvements and competitions, as they follow "The Road to Sydney."
