Debuted with Shamrocks in 2000.


Stephen Ashwell - Ash
Queensland representative playerMember of the historic Queensland Minors team that won the 1998 Australasian Gaelic Football League Championship for the first time. Debuted in the league with Shamrocks in 1999. His 2000 season was cut short by suffering a broken wrist.
Gary Banks
Debuted for Shamrocks (at training in 2000). An early ankle injury (first training in fact) robbed him of a promising season!
Kieren Blake
Debuted in 1999, and undoubtedly the biggest kick to play for Shamrocks this, or any other, century. Finished the season with 1 goal 6 points in limited appearances.
Adam Brandis
Characteristics: A friendly person who doesn't mind having a few drinks
Interests: Gaelic Football and Rugby League
Sporting Highlights: Regional rugby league representative, playing against a touring English rugby league team. Shamrocks seniors Most Consistent Player award winner in 1999.
Favourite Travel Destination: Scotland
Michelle Bullion-Healy
Debuted in 2000. Sorely missed by Shamrocks late in the season when out with illness. Finished as seventh-leading scorer for Shamrocks with 2 goals 3 points. Reportedly transferred to John Mitchels for 2001.
Susie Caldwell
Headed for a stunning debut 1999 season before requiring knee reconstruction. 2000 was again looking good, before injury again struck.
Louise Campbell
Irish Visa PlayerPlayed four games with Shamrocks in 2000 before preferring to support from the sidelines. From Co. Tyrone, fiancée of Shamrocks senior player Stephen Mulligan.

Gerry Carty
Irish Visa PlayerFrom Co. Sligo, Ireland. Played the second half of the 2000 season, but missed the Championship final because his sister didn't consider the Queensland Championship final when setting her wedding date. Scored 1 goal 2 points for the club.


Michael Carty
Irish Visa PlayerFrom Co. Sligo, Ireland. Joined his brother Gerry Carty for a couple of games in 2000, and had to slum it at the Sebel while he was here.

Irish Visa PlayerFrom the Tuam Stars club in Tuam, Co. Galway. Played superbly for Shamrocks at fullback in the second half of 2000, including a decisive role in the Senior Championship final. It should be noted that he failed to score the entire season, despite many forays forward. A member of the famous Colleran family in Galway, his uncle named in the GAA's Football Team of the Millennium. Appointed Shamrocks senior mens assistant-coach in 2001 before retuning to Ireland on the eve of the season.


Marty Coughlan

Irish Visa PlayerFrom the Dundrum GAA club in County Down, Northern Ireland. Leading player for Shamrocks as they beat the previously seemingly invincible John Mitchel club in the final of the 1998 Brisbane Shield.


Chris Cosier
Signed-up and bought a shirt, but didn't actually make it onto the pitch in 2000.


Mark Cumming
Debuted as a minor in 1999 and played again in 2000.
Padraig Cusack - Paddy
Irish Visa PlayerFrom Co. Cavan, Ireland. Played a handful of games in 2000, scored 4 points for Shamrocks, and earned himself a Queensland Championship medal.
Denis Cronin from Killarney, Co.Kerry Denis Cronin
Irish Visa Player
Irish Visa Player from Knockmanagh, Killarney, Co. Kerry, and the Spa club. Member of both senior and reserves Brisbane Shield winning Shamrocks teams in 1999. Led Shamrocks in scoring with 3 goals 48 points after a full season. Received media coverage in the Kerry's Eye newspaper. Set the Shamrocks seniors record for most points kicked in a game (a record that stood for three years) and most points in a season (stood for six years). Returned home after the 1999 season, got married, and won Kerry's 2001 Dance Set championship with his Spa club.

Queensland representative player
Scored 1 goal 8 points on debut for Shamrocks in 2000, to tie the Shamrocks single-game point scoring record (stood for 2 years). Held another club record with 3 goals in a game (stood for 1 year). Finished as Shamrocks second-leading scorer with 8 goals 37 points for the season. Played for Queensland in 2000 against the touring Allied Irish Bank Club that included a string of Inter-county stars. Won both the Queensland and Shamrocks Best First Year Player award. In 2001 went on a tour of duty to East Timor.


Naomi Devitt
Debuted with Shamrocks in 2000 as a 14-year-old, scoring two points in the season.

Nicole Duguid

Debuted for Shamrocks in 2001. Member of the 2001 Queensland Championship winning team at corner back. Spent 15 minutes during the season in the forwards, and finished with 1 goal 2 points.

 


Michael Dunphy from Waterford, IrelandMichael Dunphy

Irish Visa PlayerPlayed one week with Shamrocks early in 2001, doing well at both corner forward and corner back. From Dunhill GAA club in Waterford, Ireland.

 


Kym Eagle

Queensland representative player Queensland representative at the 1997-98 Australasian Gaelic Games. Shamrocks seventh-leading scorer in 1999 with 2 goals 4 points. Club secretary in 1999.

 


Keith Egan from Castlefin, Co. DonegalKeith Egan

Irish Visa PlayerFrom the Robert Emmets GAA club in Castlefin, County Donegal. Joined Shamrocks in 2001, playing a key defenders role in the 2001 Brisbane Shield final win before returning to Ireland midway through the season..
