DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

I am typing this at 1:00 am EST, just so you know how dedicated (or perhaps stupid) I am. I listened to the whole game, and I'm glad I did. A really rotten game offensively, but a superb defensive effort. We held LaSalle to a little over half of their average of 71 points per game. We got off to a poor start, and were lucky to only be trailing by 3 at halftime. We started playing more aggressively in the second half, and went on a 12-0 run that put us up for good. Once again, we were able to get the lead and maintain it--something we hadn't been doing in our first couple of road games. Andrew Graves came up big once again, leading the way with 11 points. The 2 biggest of those points came with 15 seconds left, when he tipped back a missed free throw by Rylan Hainje. That tip-in put Butler up by 7, which ended up being the final margin. He also had 6 rebounds. One has to wonder if he keeps playing this well, whether or not he might be replacing Thomas Jackson in the starting lineup. Mike Marshall added 9 points and 10 rebounds, and Jackson chipped in 7 points.

The Dawgs move on to the championship game of the Cable Car Classic, where they will face the host school, Santa Clara. The Broncos defeated Texas A&M 60-48. Game time will once again be 11:00 pm EST, so catch a cat-nap in the afternoon before dialing up the Dawgs!
