DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

The Butler Bulldog team that we've grown accustomed to watching at Hinkle Fieldhouse has finally shown up on a road trip. The Dawgs went up to Chicago and swept both UIC and Loyola handily, the latter by a score of 68-48. You couldn't ask for a more balanced scoring effort: Scott Robisch led the way with 11; LaVall Jordan and Joel Cornette had 10 apiece; Mike Marshall, Thomas Jackson, and Andrew Graves added 9 each; Rylan Hainje had 8 points and 10 rebounds. They held Loyola to 32% from the field and 20 points under their scoring average.

I couldn't have asked for a better outcome from our trip to Chicago. We proved we could win away from Hinkle, and do so in a big way. We finally are starting to be the team that everyone was expecting in the preseason. Hopefully we can ride this road success into next week.

Part 2 of the MCC season kicks off for Butler next Saturday when they travel to the Nutter Center to face Wright State. The Raiders have been up and down this season, but did manage to knock off Michigan State in Dayton earlier in the season. If we play like we've played the last 2 games, we'll have no problems. But we must bring the level of intensity we showed in Chicago over to Dayton. Game time is 7:00 pm on Saturday the 5th. I'm planning on making the trip, and I hope you will too.
