DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

That loud thud you heard coming from the south was the road monkey falling off Butler's back. After losing their first 3 games on the road this season, the Bulldogs were finally able to get it together away from Hinkle and defeated TCU 86-78. This game was won with bench play and free throw shooting. Darnell Archey once again provided a scoring spark off the bench, leading the way for the Dawgs with 18 points. Scott Robisch gave Butler fans a glimpse of what he brings to the team, with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Andrew Graves also played well off the bench, adding 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. LaVall Jordan hit double digits once again with 12 points, and also had a team high 7 rebounds. Butler outscored TCU 28-15 from the charity stripe, and was a perfect 18-18 in the first half from the line. The game got ugly at one point early on, when TCU decided to start mugging our players. This led to multiple technical fouls and an ejection, and when the dust settled the Bulldogs had pulled out to a double digit lead. The Horned Frogs never got closer than 4.

Butler hopes to start a winning streak on the road when they travel to Santa Clara, CA to play in the Cable Car Classic. Their first round opponent is former MCC foe LaSalle. Tip-off is on Wednesday, December 29, at 11:00 pm EST.
