DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

Could this be the end of Butler's road woes? For at least one game it was, as Butler finally put together 40 minutes of Bulldog basketball and dismantled the host UIC Flames, 75-46. We had 4 players with double-digit point totals, held the Flames to 29% shooting for the game, and played the entire first half without committing a turnover. Hopefully this game will mark a turnaround for Butler on the road. LaVall Jordan once again led the way with 18 points. A trio of Bulldogs each scored 10 points: Mike Marshall (who barely missed a double-double with 9 rebounds), Joel Cornette (8 rebounds), and Darnell Archey. Thomas Jackson had 9 points and 5 assists. Scott Robisch took a hard foul to the face, and had to be removed from the game. Evidently he'll need some dental work done, but no word yet on his availability for Saturday. Overall, a solid effort from Butler, and one of our best games all season.

The Bulldogs go for a Chicago sweep on Saturday when they travel to Loyola. The Ramblers got off to a 9-3 start, but have hit the skids big time in conference play. Tip-off is at 4:00 pm EST.
