DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

The Dawgs continue to roll with a strong offensive effort in Milwaukee. Butler shot a season-high 69% from the field en route to an 84-72 MCC victory. The win is Butler's 9th straight, improving their record to 17-7 and 9-2 in the conference. The win gave Butler a full game lead on Cleveland State in the conference. The point guard tandem of Thomas Jackson and Andrew Graves were completely dominant tonight. TJ got things started in the first half with 9 points. He picked up his 4th foul early in the second half, and that's when the Andrew Graves shooting clinic began. Andrew scored 21 second half points on a combination of jumpers, lay-ups, a 3-pointer, and free throws. Graves finished with a career high 25 points on 8-11 shooting from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line, and also dished out 4 assists. Thomas ended up with 15 points and 8 assists while picking up 4 steals. Combined, our point guards scored 40 and dished out 12 assists. Rylan Hainje had 11 first half points en route to 15 for the game. UWM, playing without freshman guard Clay Tucker, was led by Shaun Fountain's season-high 29 points. Chad Angeli added 14 for the Panthers.

Butler looks for a Wisconsin sweep this Saturday the 19th when they travel to Wisconsin-Green Bay to battle the Phoenix. UWGB is always tough at home, and points are always at a premium when these 2 squads meet. It's Butler's final road game before the conference tournament. Game time is 8:00 EST. Let's hope the road season ends on a high note.
