DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

A much better effort from the Bulldogs in round 2 of the conference tournament, as Butler defeated Wisconsin-Milwaukee 65-51 to move within one game of the big dance. Free throw shooting was better, but still showed room for improvement at 11-19. Leading the way for Butler was super-sub Darnell Archey, who nailed 3 more 3-pointers en route to 15 points. Thomas Jackson had another great game with 14 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. Mike Marshall struggled at the line once again (1-5), but had a strong game with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Rylan Hainje added 11 points and 7 rebounds, and put an exclamation point on the day with a wicked dunk at the end. Chad Angeli led the Panthers with 12 points.

It's a rematch of last year's championship game as Butler will be facing Detroit. The teams split their regular season series, with each team winning on its home floor. Game time is Tuesday, March 7, at 7:00 pm EST. It will be televised on ESPN if you can't make it up to Chicago, but I highly recommend making the trip if at all possible.
