DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

It really sucks when you go to a road game and your team plays poorly. But there's no better road trip than one where the home team gets pounded, and you're surrounded by home fans while rooting on the visitors. The Bulldogs put on an offensive clinic in the second half, shooting an unbelievable 73% en route to a 79-55 pasting of the Wright State Raiders. The first 20 minutes were hard fought, with Butler battling to an 8 point lead. But the second half was all Butler. Thomas Jackson spent a lot of time blowing by his defender and getting to the hoop for an easy deuce. He wasn't alone though. Andrew Graves enjoyed a hot night from downtown. Rylan Hainje was stroking the mid-range jumper to perfection. LaVall Jordan didn't have his best shooting night, but got his points. Darnell Archey provided his usual spark off the bench. After all was said and done, we scored 51 points in the second half. We even played a slow-down stalling offense for the last 5 minutes, and still managed to score out of it. Jackson led the way with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Graves had 13 (3-4 from 3-point range) to go along with 4 assists. Jordan and Hainje each scored 12. A phenomenal game, one that I'm glad I went to.

The biggest week on our schedule has arrived as far as conference play goes. Detroit and Cleveland State come to Hinkle next week, 2 teams which should give us the most trouble on our home schedule. The Titans are up first, Thursday the 10th at 7 pm. Hope to see you there.
