DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

The clock struck midnight for the Cinderella Bulldogs as the Oklahoma Sooners defeated Butler, 65-54. OU's Ebi Ere, who had been struggling of late offensively, broke out in a big way with a game-high 25 points. His effort, plus OU's 39-21 rebounding advantage, made the difference in the game. The Sooners' effort on the offensive glass led to a 25-7 advantage in second chance points.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Joel Cornette. JC's last game in a Butler uniform was a memorable one, as he finished with 21 points and eight rebounds. With the Sooners focusing a great deal of their defensive effort containing Butler's perimeter attack, Joel was able to do some damage underneath and get many of OU's big men in foul trouble.

Duane Lightfoot, Jr. had eight points off the bench. Brandon Miller had seven points, and Mike Monserez added seven points and seven rebounds. Darnell Archey finished with six points, and fellow senior Lewis Curry had five.

What an incredible season! I can't begin to put into words what a pleasure it was to be able to watch this team. To Joel, Brandon, Darnell, Lewis, Mike, and Rob--thanks for an incredible four years, and best of luck to each of you in your future endeavors. To the coaching staff--no one in the country put a better-prepared team on the floor night in and night out. You are all to commended for your hard work, both on and off the court. To the returning players--I can't wait for November to get here to see what you will have in store for us next season. Work hard this summer!

Thanks again to everyone involved for a truly memorable season. See you next year!
