Horizon League Championship Game
UWM wins Horizon League automatic berth in NCAA Tournament

DAVE'S POSTGAME ANALYSIS

The Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers scored the first 14 points of the game and never looked back as they defeated the Butler Bulldogs 69-52 to win the Horizon League Tournament and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. After digging themselves an early hole, the Bulldogs would get no closer than 12 for the remainder of the game.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Darnell Archey. Archey led the Bulldogs with 14 points, and pulled down four rebounds.

Avery Sheets finished with 11 points and three rebounds off the bench, and Duane Lightfoot, Jr. added 10 points and five rebounds. Joel Cornette finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Brandon Miller added four points and four rebounds. Mike Monserez had three points and four rebounds. UWM was led by tournament MVP Clay Tucker's 23 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks.

For the second straight season, the Bulldogs will watch Selection Sunday with a 25-5 record and wonder what fate awaits them. Personally, I think they have done enough to get in, but after last season, I don't take anything for granted. Tune in this Sunday to find out where the Bulldogs will next play.

Congratulations to the Panthers on their championship.
