PLAYER OF THE GAME: A. J. Graves. Perhaps no one benefited more from a week off than Graves, who broke out of his shooting slump with seven three-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points along with three rebounds.
Green added 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Matt Howard finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Julian Betko had eight points and three rebounds, while Drew Streicher added seven points and four steals. Willie Veasley had five points. Hahn finished with three points. FSU was led by Jason Rich's 17 points.
Butler shot at least 50% in each half, checking in at 52% for the game overall and 42% from three-point range. It wasn't all good news offensively, as the Bulldogs committed 10 second half turnovers and 15 for the game (against 10 assists), leading to 23 Seminole points. Fortunately the Bulldogs were able to stay in the lead and overcome the miscues, finishing strong and never losing control. A nice bounce-back from the Wright State loss, and hopefully one to build on heading into next week.
Butler plays just its third home game of the season when the Bradley Braves come to Hinkle Fieldhouse. Game time is Wednesday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m. EST. Hope to see you there.
couldn't believe what Billy Packer said during the purdue/louisville game; stated that BUTLER can no longer be considered a mid- major because they consistantly competitive with the big boys
