With the price of a nice personal computer diving under $1,000 this past holiday season, PCs became a hot gift item. Many of those PCs came equipped with modems and everything else needed to get online. If you found one of those under your Christmas tree (or however you exchanged gifts), then get on the internet and see what all the fuss is about.

You'll then be able to visit Amanda "Peaches" Jennings' site at http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Stadium/8289. Amanda, who attends college in Augusta, shares the site with three friends from New York who all love the Braves.

The site leads off with some of their favorite quotes by and about the Braves. They update the quotes each month. If you want to find out how "wealthy" Braves announcers Skip Caray, Pete Van Weiren, and Ernie Johnson are becoming off their residual checks for their parts in the movie "The Slugger's Wife," check out the current quotes.

The bulk of the site is devoted to photos the young women have taken. You can see the girls hanging out with Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones, Javy Lopez, Denny Neagle and others. They also have shots of former Braves including Fred McGriff, Jeff Blauser, Steve Avery, and Terrell Wade.

A friend of Amanda's, Teresa Golding, has a site dedicated to her favorite player, Mike Bielecki (http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Arena/1673). Teresa has all the Bielecki news you could ever want and runs a Mike Bielecki fan club.

Speaking of fan clubs, Ryan Klesko has one on the 'net that claims over 600 members. Charles Atkins (http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/Arena/1818) moved to Atlanta from Indianopolis last August. Upon his arrival, he bought some Turner Field Skyline tickets to the interleague games against the Detroit Tigers.

Using a sign that read "I drove 600 miles to see Ryan," Atkins was able to get Klesko's attention. He met the Braves leftfielder during batting practice and again after the game as the team boarded buses for the airport. The result: A gathering place on the 'net for Klesko fans from all over the world with some great stories about the slugger.
