Tyrannosaurus Rex rules! The 6720 actually gets more votes than all others dinosaurs together. And the large dinosaurs get more votes than the small.

In this survey just about half feel that Lego is sacred and should never be harmed. But there are just as many that either has or some day might customize some of their Lego.
Minifig
Paint in new colors
Remove decoration from tiles
 Cut new shapes
Paint in existing colors
It is most acceptable to modify minifigs. This is followed by removing the decoration from tiles, cutting pieces into new shapes and painting pieces in non-existing colors. Strangely it is less acceptable to paint a piece in existing colors that the particular piece doesn't come in.

The majority think that the reissue of old sets is a good idea. And most people agree with the choise of sets to be reissued.

A bit to my surprise the 5958 got most votes. But the race is so close that it is hard to proclaim an outright winner. The interesting thing is that the Desert subtheme cars get far more votes than the Jungle and DinoIsland cars. Even with only 3 votes for the car from 5978 the average is more than 8 per Desert car opposed to 2-2½ for the others. The same tendency is even more distinct in the Favorite Truck vote from February-March. Either the designers has run out of good ideas or people just like the Desert sets better in general.

Will you buy the new Dinosaurs? (April 2001)

Most people seem reluctant to buy the upcoming Dinosaurs. But the matter is not entirely decided. The large number of maybe and don't know votes can go either way.

Favorite Adventurers Truck (February-March 2001)

Don't Know
Don't Ask
This question was repeated in March because the feature at GeoCities that drives the vote was down for about a fortnight in February. The votes from both months show the same: that the large truck from 5988 wins by a wide margin. It pleases me that my favorite 2995 at least finishes as a clear second.

Favorite MOC of 2000 (January 2001)
Betfort
Kurvee
Venom
Fokker D.VIII
Fokker Dr.I
Pickup Truck
Hangar
Don't Know
Don't Ask
There is a general preference for the vehicles, with the exception of the development of the 2995. I will probably concentrate on vehicles in the future. It also seems as larger and more complicated creations are popular. This is certainly the case with the Betfort truck. I guess this was a dumb question to ask as so many didn't want to answer.

Favorite Adventurers Vessel (December 2000)

Bigger is still better! The title as favorite vessel was settled between the two big ships: 5976 River Expedition and 5975 T-Rex Transport. But 5976 got more than double as many votes as the runner up. I guess that the 5976 has more details like the round funnel.

Bigger is better! The large 5935 Island Hopper is a clear winner with more then double as many votes as the runner-up: the also big 5956 Expedition Balloon/Air Zeppelin. The balloons as a whole actually got an above average votes. The ordinary biplanes got a fair number of votes, whereas the more strange looking aircraft only got a few votes.

Favorite Dinosaur (October 2000)
Triceratops
T-Rex
Baby T-Rex
Stegosaurus
Pteranodon
Don't Know
Don't Ask
The result surprised me a bit because I thought that the fierce T-Rex would steal the victory. Sure it got a lot of votes and did end second, but Triceratops got just a few more votes. This might be because the Triceratops is the most accurate of the Lego dinosaurs. It is also a bit surprising that the Baby T-Rex got almost as many votes as the adult T-Rex.

Please note that technically the vote was incorrect as the Pteranodon is not a Dinosaur but a Pterosaur.

The average age is almost 19 years. This is almost in the middle of the main cluster between 15 and 21 where 56% of the votes are. The average taken from this group only is just less than 18 years. The conclusion must be that Mike is around 18 years of age.

Sanister Relation (September 2000)
Father/Daughter
Brother/Sister
Married
Uncle/Niece
Not related
Grandfather/Grandchild
Cousins
Don't Know
Don't Ask
Seems as if I was a bit too fast with this question. The September-October issue of Mania Magazine has an introduction to the minifigs where the Sanisters/Sinisters are listed as being brother and sister. This option was voted second, right after father and daughter. This is supported by the general tendency for more votes to close relations rather than the more remote relations.

Most Wanted Subtheme (August 2000)
Atlantis
Greco-Roman
Chicago
African Safari
Persian
Asian
Antarctic
Flying Circus
Don't Know
Don't Ask
This question was about which new subtheme people would like to see (Not what they thought was most likely to happen). Most of the proposed subthemes close to existing themes (Asian vs Ninja and Antarctic vs Arctic) doesn't get much support.

On the other hand fighting the mob in Chicago (similar to City) get a lot of votes. I take that as a desire to get classic Town back. But also that people wants an Adventurers Club and other base buildings.

Otherwise the voters are split in two: those who want something new: Atlantis and African Safari, and those who want to return to something close to the Egyptian Desert subtheme: Greco-Roman and Persian. But the majority wants something new: Atlantis.

Favorite Adventurers Villain (July 2000)
Mr. Hates
Alexis Sanister
Slyboots
Palomar
Mr. Cunningham
Rudo Villano
Gabarro
Don't Know
Don't Ask
Because every subtheme has it's own villains there are quite a lot of them. As a result the votes are rather scattered. Alexis has the advantage of being the only female villain, but Mr. Hates seems to have the interesting personality. Mr. Hates and Alexis immediately took the lead. But soon it was clear that Mr. Hates would win as the gap to Alexis steadily widened.

Favorite Adventurers Minifig (June 2000)
Johnny Thunder
Miss Pippin Read
Harry Cane
Professor Kilroy
Mike
Don't Know
Don't Ask
At first Miss Pippin Read was in the lead for a brief period, but after that no one could catch up with Johnny Thunder. In the end it was a dead heat between Miss Pippin Read and Harry Cane for the second place. Professor Kilroy got a reasonable number of votes despite the hatred that is often aired against him at Lugnet.

Favorite Adventurers Subtheme (May 2000)
Egyptian Desert
Dino Island
Amazon Jungle
Don't Ask
It was a very close race between Egyptian Desert and Lost Island for the first half of the month before Egyptian Desert finally took the decisive lead. It seems that the original subtheme is still going strong.
