The Joker was a small time thug who fell into a vat of acid while trying to pull off a heist. Although Batmantried in vain to save him from his fate, Joker blames Batman for the incident. The acid altered Joker's appearance by turning his hair green and disfiguring his face. he attempted to have plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face but it left him with a permanent smile on his face which he has come to terms with and, as it turns out, goes well with his demented sense of humor. The Joker is Batman's biggest arch enemy and his is constantly trying to figure out ways to outwit and get revenge on Batman.
