Pamela Isley was a botonist who worked for Wayne Industries in South America. After funding for her project ran out, one of her coworkers, Dr. Woodrue, started doing some unconventional biological experiments. These experiments resulted in the birth of Bane. Pamela discovered the work he was doing and confronted him about it. Dr. Woodrue then tried to kill her but she survived and became Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy's body produces toxins to which she is immune. Her kiss is deadly. She is a plant freak and prefers plants to animals or humans. She will go to extreme lengths to protect them.
