Eugene Maurice Orowitz (Michael Landon)

There were three hit series that Michael Landon starred in. Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven. As a young boy in high school he became popular when he started throwing the javelin. He earned a scholorship to the University of California, but lost that scholorship when he injuried his arm. He then was sent to acting school by Warner Brothers and thus started his acting career. When Michael acted, he put his heart and sole into what he was doing.


Little Joe Cartwright
Bonanza aired for 14 years from 1959 to 1973. He played "Little Joe" and was the youngest son of Ben Cartwright. As he was playing his role he also learned how to write and direct and directed several shows on Bonanza.


Charles Ingalls
Little House on the Praire was the creation of Michael Landon. He not only acted, but wrote, directed and was the Executive Producer of the show. It aired From 1974 to 1982. It was brought back in the fall of 82 but cancelled in 1983. Three additional shows were made ending the series in 1984.


Jonathan Smith
Highway to Heaven again was the creation of Michael Landon, and still had his old time friends with him for previous shows. It aired from 1984 to 1989. Michael played an angel that was helping others understand life.



Michael Landon
He had started a new series called "US" but never lived long enough to see the pilot of the program air. Michael Landoned died on July 1, 1991 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 54. He was married 3 times, and had 9 children which he played a very active roll in raising. May he live forever in our hearts through his shows.
