Numerous Published Papers For Conferences and Testimony

publications are listed on SDC website at:
    http://www.oocities.org/Eureka/1905/EMSPAPERS.html

*Testimony for California Energy Commission hearings and
letters to California Public Utilities Commission regarding
energy industry, restructuring and renewables technology
deployment with focus on the needs and rights of
    demand-site consumers
*Exhibits for conferences, community events and trade shows

    Projects Proposed By SDC:

*Community Renewables Technology Fair for Consumer Education
-bring all industry players together for community events
to educate consumer and facilitate green projects

    *National Solar Savings Bond Program
    ---primarily for K through 12

    *Electronic PV Billboard Monitors:
Look Like Smog Reports Indicating Renewables kWh Output

*Create Baseball Cards of Renewables Technology
-w/stats on manufacturers, products, service and incentives.
*Public Service Announcements are often sponsored so only
spend CEC resources to design awareness-building message:
-A good example would be to feature 300 kilowatt peak rooftop
on Georgetown University Intercultural Center installed in
1984 on campus where President Clinton trained for his career
-Many people using building don't know beautiful rooftop is
PV and creating over 50% of electricity consumed in building.

*At March for Peaceful Energy Event October 1998 Washington, DC:
include CEC Renewables Technology Consumer Education Fair
w/product exhibits, system designers, estimates, etc.
  4. We need to develop and facilitate training programs for
service professionals who will educate consumer, daily:

*create film documentaries for TV programs & sell as videos
*fund publication of books for educating industry, professionals & public
*develop quality press kits -good press coverage advances mission

*Train Industry to Better Educate & Serve Larger Consumer Audience:

-I am seeking training to establish myself as a certified
contractor/trainer for BI-PV design, installation and maintenance.

-As the ORA of the CPUC prepares to develop rulemaking for
the UDC, the issue of a standardized training program with
requirements for system design and installation would be an
appropriate and needed program that would ideally include a
consumer education booklet to assist consumers in choosing
and utilizing certified products and services.

-PV GAP=Global Approval Program for PV and the
Global Institute for Sustainable Power are two programs
attempting to create standards for BI-PV certification
    programs.

Make resources available to industry professionals:
    --for fee or sponsored presentations
--need more sponsorship of small business in
    renewables technology design and installation
    --development resources and related training

Develop local programs to educate public like fundraising
dinners & special events -we have included some or our programs:

*See our program: Solar Winter Gala - A Week W/Jimmy Stewart
*Provide exhibits and presentations in community coordinated
and sponsored by professional groups like the
Chamber of Commerce, IEEE & AIA.
*better web site placement on super highway
*provide better consumer access to industry small businesses
    *talk shows
    *speaking engagements
*community workshops independently and with local institutions
*facilitate community fundraisers to offset costs of
    renewables technology deployment and education

    CONSUMER SERVICE PESONNEL EDUCATE CONSUMERS:
*Educate the Industry, First -They Will Educate Consumers, Daily

    CONSUMERS EDUCATE THE CONSUMER EDUCATORS:
*Provide opportunities for consumers to make comments.
*Bring CEC into communities around state
--they will educate consumers as they learn.
*Get a panel discussion on the Oprah Winfrey Show:
    --ask for viewer feedback
