The Bible's Answer


You might be tempted to say "I've been a good person, never stolen anything, or killed anyone, and I went to church most every Sunday, so I pretty much deserve to get in." You might be surprised to know that heaven can't be earned or deserved by the good things you have done. Actually, eternal life in heaven is a free gift (John 3:16) and is not something you can earn or that you deserve by going to church or helping the poor (see Ephesians 2:8-9). No matter how good you are or how bad you've been, God loves you and wants you to live with Him for all eternity, and He makes it so easy! All you have to do is trust Jesus as your Lord & savior and you will have crossed over from death unto eternal life (John 5:24)! This is the gospel of Jesus Christ!
