I am the most seniorest, wisest and tempurrmental cat at Tom's Kitty Ranch. So don't you dare ask me how such a rough, tough, streetsmart, former girl kitty, but "tomcat shoulda been" got the name Fluff!!
Well, since you DID ask ....
A few years ago, Tom had a girlfriend who really liked rough and tumble outdoor activities, and wasn't much into style or high fashion (we think she moved to Seattle and wears army boots!). So when they went shopping in the City, she would always rib Tom about eyeing the dressed up City women. "They're just fluff," she would say. So, now the girlfriend is gone, but, obviously, the first new, cute little girl kitty that came home to the Ranch had to be a Fluff.
And one of my proudest accomplishments: since I have lots of thick fur of both light and dark colors, I can shed - and I do it by the handful - on anything, any color - clothes, furniture, carpet, etc. - and it will show up. (We actually have a friend who selected her cat based on a fur color that would match her furniture so that the stray fuzz wouldn't show so much!!)
