Our 1997-1998 Activites
We had a very busy year and we would like to tell you a little about it. It has been a real long time since we updated our page ;o) !!!!!
We did lots of things ---
- We went line dancing. Some of our moms went and they had as much fun as we did. We got real good at it too. We hope they have it again this year.
- We taught a Junior Workshop to Bridging Brownies. We did the Jeweler badge. This also went towards our leadership hours.
- We went to the Statue Of Liberty and earned the badge for it. It was great. Some of us even went to the top of the crown. Then we had a picnic at Liberty State Park.
- We went to Beach Jam. This year was even more fun than last year. We love those rides!!! The camp fire wasn't as good as last year but the rest was.
- We put on a holiday program for the senior's home. We sang Christmas Carol's and 3 girls played flutes and 1 played the violin. It was the best program that we put on for them so far.
- We made bird houses and bird feeders for our yards. You should see all the neat colors and designs that they turned out.
- We made stress balls. That was so much fun that we decided our moms needed one too, so we made them one.
- We joined in the Thinking Day postcard exchange. We got some really neat cards from all over. Hope there is something fun to do this year.
- We sent out our mascots all around. 1 got to go to the Singalong last year -- traveled from Texas to go there!!! 1 got to go to Macy too. WOW!!!!! you should see the beautiful pictures from there.
- We sent out our traveling troop. We got them back with lots of terrific info from Wales, South Africa, and Australia. Plus they each got a *Uniform* from each country they visited. We hope to do this again this year.
- We also started our own newsletter, "Juniors in Action"!!! We usually get it printed every other month. We are going to try for every month this coming year. We have lots of fun things in it -- Current events, plans, trips, badges, service projects, an advice column, a Beanie column, TV and movie reviews, Word Search, science experiment or interesting items, fun recipes, jokes, birthdays, interviews, stuff from other troops -- please send us something if you want. We would love to have it, There is new stuff all the time. We sent it to 6 troops in the US plus England and Wales!!! We hope to keep adding more places to send it too!!!
- So this is some of the main things we did this year. We have some stuff lined up for the coming year already!! If you would like to contact us, just email us at Troop828@juno.com
