Our planned activities for the upcoming year 1998-1999
- The 1st thing we are planning for is Junior Wacky Weekend!! We will be meeting next week to plan our stay. We are having chicken and potatoes in foil, corn on the cob, hot dogs, baked potatoes, veggies and dip, egg and sausage muffin, jungle breakfast, dump cake and/or pudding ice cream. Most of us have our swaps all made and are ready for trading! We are going to be star gazing and have 2 crafts to go along with it. We will make a constellation and a solar necklace. Maybe a telescope if we have time. We also will be doing some compass work and a night hike. 2 of us went last year and it was so much fun!
- Margaret, from South Africa, sent us a sample of a patch her girls made. They make patches sometimes instead of buying them. The 1 she sent us was to do with the stars -- so it will be perfect for this. We will probably make that at a later meeting. We are going to start doing that on lots of things from now on. Then we can each start a camp blanket or poncho.
- We have plans to make homemade beauty products, homemade candy, friendly plastic pins, our blanket/poncho, another workshop for Brownies, bat houses, butterfly houses, and tons of stuff we have to decide on yet.
- We hope to go camping at least twice more, plus the Beach Jam, take a trip to Lincoln Caverns, and some other places we have heard our leader say she found out about on the WAGGGS-L list.
- We will be getting our mascot ready to send around again. Wrinkles and Sydney want to stay home this year. So we have a new mascot -- a blue dinosaur, which needs to be named!! We also want to send out our traveling troop to new countries this year. Is anyone interested in hosting us???????? If so, please Email us . We would love to visit you or have you visit us!!
