We've done a lot in the kitchen. We put in the French door (the old sliding door was in bad shape)and we decided we'd better get a new fridge when the old one started "moaning", it sounded like it was about to go kaput. I haven't decided what to do as far as the walls yet--I am thinking of painting everything a gold color similar to the living room and then doing a border, but we'd have to move all the small pictures that are over the cabinets if we want to put a border there--otherwise it will be all covered over. The other (better ??) option is to wallpaper the dining area and only paint the walls above the cabinets and around the oven area. Whatever we decide--I plan to use "Provencal" colors which are gold, dark cobalt blue (almost purple), burgundy and dark green. I would like to get glass cabinet fronts for some of the cabinets, and redo the rest (woodwork & pulls ??).

This is the sofa we got from Clayt's sister.
It has a recliner at one end and the part where Kevin is sitting is a sleep-sofa.
Rug on the floor is the same one we had in our dining area at Hanscom (a little dirty but not too bad).
We're thinking about redoing the paneling in here, I'm looking at using a pale but warm (almost peachy) beige wash for it--there's too much white/off white in the room right now.

I think I told you that we found a great border for Kevin's room--wolves ! We're going to the wallpaper place in a few days and will pick it up if he likes it. The paint color & the rug we have in here are just fine--we probably won't change them (at least not now) since they're nice & neutral. After all--if Kevin heads off to college in a few years (*sniff*) this might become a guestroom or study ??
