The Golden Age

Atom (Al Pratt) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-26, 28-35, 37-57. Died in Zero Hour. Al's son is the hero Damage. His godson is the hero Nuklon, formerly of Infinity, Inc.
Black Canary (Dinah Drake Lance) - Appeared in ASC #'s 41-57. Died in JLA#74 as revealed in JLA#220. Her daughter is the current Black Canary (II).
Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-21. Died (?) in Fate#0.
Doctor Mid-Nite (Dr. Charles McNider) - Appeared in ASC #'s 8-57. Died in Zero HHour.
Flash (Jay Garrick) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-6 as the team's first chairman, appeared as an honorary member in #'s 7, 8, 10. Still active.
Green Lantern (Alan Ladd Wellington Scott) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-7. Was the team's second chairman in issue #7, honorary member #'s 8, 10. Still active under the name Sentinel. Currently serving as the team's fourth chairman/leader. He has two children from his first marriage, the heroes Jade and Obsidian, formerly of Infinity, Inc.
Hawkman (Carter Hall) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-57. Served as the third chaiman from ASC#8 until his apparent death in Zero Hour. In the post-Crisis DC Universe, he was also a member of the early JLA. He had one son, Hector Hall, now deceased who was known as the hero Sivler Scarab (and for a brief period, Sandman) while a member of Infinity, Inc. They also have a godson, Northwind, also formerly of Infinity, Inc., and a grandson, who currently resides in the realm known as The Dreaming. Proving that even death can't keep a good hero down, Hawkman is once again, back as a current JSA member.
Hourman (Rex "Tick Tock" Tyler) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-7. Rex left the team to join The Freedom Fighters, as revealed many years later in All-Star Squadron, but later returned to the JSA. He died in Zero Hour. He left behind a son, Rick, who became the second Hourman. There is also an android from the 853rd century calling itself Hourman, which claims to be decended from Tyler's DNA.
Mister Terrific (Terry Sloane) - Appeared in only one JSA adventure during the golden age; in ASC # 24. He was killed by an old foe, the Spirit King, in JLA#171.
Sandman (Wesley Dodds) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-21. Wesley committed suicide in JSA Secret Files # 1. His Golden-Age sidekick, Sandy The Golden Boy, is now leader of the current JSA as Sand.
Spectre (Jim Corrigan) - Appeared in ASC #'s 3-23. Still active.
Starman (Ted Knight) - Appeared in ASC #'s 8-23. Ted just recently past away in battle with his old nemesis, the Mist. His son, David, took over the identity of Starman when Ted retired a few years back, but was killed shortly thereafter. Ted's other son, Jack, became the next Starman, but recently retired.
Johnny Thunder - Appeared in ASC #'s 6-35, 37-39. Johnny was the team mascot for issues 3-5. He is currently retired from crime fighting.
Wildcat (Ted Grant) - Appeared in only two JSA adventures during the golden age; in ASC #'s 24 and 27. He is still active.
Wonder Woman (Princess Diana Prince Trevor) - Appeared in ASC #'s 24-57, she started out as an honorary member from issues 11-22. After the Crisis, Wonder Woman and her husband, Steve Trevor, were transported to Mount Olympus to live as gods. No memory of them exists in the post-Crisis world. They had one daughter, Lyta Trevor, and one grandson. Since the Crisis, Lyta's mother is now considered to be the (previously non-existant) Golden Age Fury, although she was raised by the hero Miss America.

Honorary Members :
Batman (Bruce Wayne) - Although an honorary member since ASC # 3, Batman was not an active member of the JSA until the later Silver Age. He died in Adventure Comics # 462, leaving behind a daughter, Helena, who joined the JSA in his place. Sadly, no memory exists of him in the post-Crisis world.
FBI Director (G. Henry Mover, revealed in Batman # 8) - Joined in ASC # 4. Current status unknown.
Superman (Clark Kent) - Although an honorary member since ASC # 3, Superman was not an active member of the JSA until the Silver Age. During the Crisis, Superman and his wife, Lois Lane Kent, were trapped in another dimension. Sadly, no memory exitsts of him in the post-Crisis world.
