Chinese Chews

2 eggs ¼ tsp. salt
1 cup sugar ¼ tsp vanilla
1 stick oleo 1 cup chopped dates
3/4 cup flour 1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking powder

1. Beat eggs well.
2. Mix in remaining ingredients.
3. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan.
4. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.
5. Center will be soft.
6. When cool, cut into squares.
7. Roll each square into a ball.
8. Roll each ball into powdered sugar.
9. These also freeze very well.
