Our Vacation to Ormond Beach, Florida
We went to see the sea turtles nest ;)
July 22 - July 29, 2006
Yep, once again we traded off our timeshare :) This time we ended up on Ormond Beach! We had an AWESOME view of the beach from our balcony on the sixth floor. WHAT AN AWESOME WEEK!! Ahhhhh....

We had a really bad storm the one day. Ocean storms pack 4 times the punch, but the sights are GREAT!!! We sat on the balcony to enjoy!!

A few shots by the pool, where we spent most of our week, sipping alcohol, messing around with the laptop (wireless internet is soooo nice), and waiting for Ross to call and say our house was sold :)
OK..... and the most exciting thing that happened all week......here is my story.....
One day I was sitting on the bed, looking out the patio doors over the ocean, and I see this kyak'er paddling his ass off to get to the beach. This seems mighty odd to me, so I get up and say to Abe, "I think there's something going on out here on the beach". I get up and go to get a closer view and I see the kyak'er plow right into the beach. Again....ODD. Then I see it..... a shark fin slowly inch out of the water and then slowly go back down. Maybe 3 seconds worth of fin. Then I see the life guards going crazy to get everyone out of the water. At this point Abe doesn't believe me, as to what I am seeing because I saw the fin rise again many more times but every time I point to it, it is gone by the time he looks. So I tried to get some pics of it, but of course the shutter on the camera is too slow, and the fin is gone each time. Here are the pics I got. If you look reallllllllly close, you might see it. Not the two ludicrous people you see there, but out just a bit further.....
Anyway......... The next day we are doing our normal lounge by the pool, and this old man comes up to us and says, "Hey did you see the shark that some kid caught off the beach"? So there Ya go!! Proof that I was NOT seeing and imagining things ;) So I got a pic of the baby shark that was caught right off our beach.....scary. Good thing we prefer the pool :)
And some really bad pics of Abe and I at dinner one night. Just to prove that we don't care if we look like CRAP when we are vacationing ;)
