He married Bertha Jessie SWARTS in Allegany, Cattaraugus, NY, USA, 1 MAR 1916.⁽¹³²³⁾ Bertha was born 22 AUG 1895.⁽¹³²⁴⁾ Bertha died 16 JAN 1971 in Allegany, Cattaraugus, NY, USA, at 75 years of age.⁽¹³²⁵⁾ Lawrence was a member of the Water Commission and a Village Trustee. He was secretary of the Allegany Fire Department and was a life member of the department. He was Grand Knight of the Allegany Council 1220 of the Knights of Columbus, the Past Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree Assembly, and was a life member of the Council. Lawrence was an usher at St. Bonaventure Church for 40 years and received the St. Joseph the Worker Award for his work in the church.
