He married Deborah SCRIBNER.

Elijah served in the.⁽¹⁷¹⁷⁾ He served in the War of the Revolution; Elijah was a private and subsequently a Sergeant, with Col. Peter Yates and Capt. Thomas Brown, in the 14th Albany Co. Regt., in which regiment he was also a Drummer.

Elijah SPALDING and Deborah SCRIBNER had the following children:

40 iii. Margaret SPALDING. Margaret died in Hoosick, Rensselaer, NY. She married Phillip HARRINGTON.

41 iv. Sally SPALDING. Sally died in Schaghticoke, Rensselar, NY. She married Zeeb LEE.

+ 42 v. Jonathan SPALDING was born 21 JAN 1779.

+ 43 vi. Roswell SPALDING was born 23 JUN 1783.

44 vii. Sibyl SPALDING. She married Thomas FORD in Hoosick, Rensselaer, NY.

45 viii. Elijah SPALDING. He married Beverly CHASE.
