He married twice. He married Sarah HASKETT in Henry Co., IN, 22 JUN 1842.⁽¹⁰¹³⁾ Sarah was born in NC CA 1822.⁽¹⁰¹⁴⁾ Sarah was the daughter of Joseph HASKETT and Jemima TATLOCK. Sarah died 22 MAR 1857 in IA, at 34 years of age.⁽¹⁰¹⁵⁾ He married Elizabeth MCGREER in Lee Co., IA, 15 APR 1856.⁽¹⁰¹⁶⁾
