SUGAR AND SPICE COOKIES
Shortening 3/4 cup
White sugar 1 cup
Egg 1
Molasses 1/4 cup
Cinnamon 1 tsp.
Ginger 1 tsp.
Cloves 1 tsp.
Salt 1/4 tsp.
Baking soda 2 tsp.
All purpose flour 2 cups

Sift together all dry ingredients. Set aside. Cream sugar and shortening then add egg, and molasses. Knead well. Form into balls and roll in white sugar, press down with fork. Bake at 350'F for about 12 minutes.





MY MACAROONS
White sugar 2 cups
Margarine 1/2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Vanilla 1 tsp.
Cocoa 3 tbls.
Rolled oats 2 1/2 cups
Coconut 3/4 cup

Combine first 5 ingredients into sauce pan and bring to boil and then boil for 5 minutes. Watch and stir. Remove from heat and add oats and coconut. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Let stand about 10 minutes or until hard. Be sure to be the first to try one, because that is all that I get and then they are gone.:o)





CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES
Shortening 1/2 cup
Brown sugar 1 cup
Egg 1
Vanilla 1 tsp
Milk 3 tbsp.
Flour 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 tsp
Rolled oats 1 1/2 cups
Chocolate chips 1 cup


Mix dry ingredients and chips together, set aside. Cream shortening, vanilla and sugar together add eggs and milk. Add flour mixture gradually. Drop by spoonfull. Bake at 375'F for 12 minutes






SOFT SPICY OATMEAL COOKIES
Margarine 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Eggs 2
Molasses 2 tbsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
Rolled oats 2 cups
Flour 2 cups
Salt 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon 1 1/2tsp
Raisins 1 cup


Combine ingredients in order listed. Hear oven to 375'F. Shape into balls and flatten with fork. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned.
