To arrange a swap, e-mail the person with the seeds by clicking on his or her name.
Always include a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope) when you swap, even if not requested. It's just courteous, and it makes it more likely you'll get your seeds quickly.
I hope that all who post here are motivated first by eagerness to share, and that getting something in return is secondary. If you only want to swap with people who can give you something you want, please write Swaps Only! in the 'Comments' box.
Even if you have nothing to offer in exchange, feel free to request seeds as long as the person offering them hasn't written 'Swaps Only!' in the 'Comments' box. Be sure to send an SASE, and be understanding if the person with the seeds runs out before they get to you.
If you only have a small number of seeds available, please say so in the 'Comments' box. Normally you should send at least 20 seeds or enough to plant a 4-foot garden row.
If you run out of seeds unexpectedly, please contact the webmaster of this page immediately so that we can let people know. (You should also personally let anyone you've already arranged a swap with know.)
By posting here, you agree to respond to all requests, even if the response is 'no thanks'. You may ask the webmaster to remove your post any time that you feel unable to fulfill this condition.
Send seeds folded in a sheet of paper or a small paper envelope, not loose inside the mailing envelope. Do not tape or glue seeds. Bubble wrap is usually not necessary, and unless seeds are perfectly dried plastic wrap can ruin them. Seeds are very light, so normal first-class postage is usually all you need to include on a SASE. If you're concerend about seeds surviving handling by the Post Office, write 'Please Hand-Cancel' on the envelope, or toss in a few extra seeds to cover potential breakage.
