Margaret Farrimond Baybutt Caminiti

My GR aunt, Margaret FARRIMOND
was born abt 1881 in Wigan Lancashire England.
Maggie was the youngest child of Thomas FARRIMOND and Margaret HORAN
who had married in 1870 at St Patrick's RC Church in Wigan.

There is support to the family-known and long-held belief by most,
that my grandfather's sister, Agnes, known as 'Cis',
gave birth to a baby boy 'out of wedlock' abt 1920,
and was forced to give the baby up for adoption.

This baby was adopted by Margaret FARRIMOND & Henry BAYBUTT.
Margaret FARRIMOND, known as Maggie,
was Agnes' mother's youngest sister !!

After a tragic car accident in Crowsnest took Thomas' life on Sep 30 1926,
Maggie married Frank CAMINITI
who had helped her and her 6 yr old son at the scene of the accident.

Consequently, the baby was Matthew & Alice's grandson as well as their nephew !!
(I have had some contact with Agnes' probable GR grandson)

I can remember when Nana Caminiti lived
a few doors up from my grandparents on 8th Avenue South in Cranbrook ......
I remember going there a couple of times
and eating her delicious homemade baked macaroni casserole
complete with toasted bread crumbs sprinkled liberally across the top ~
MMMMMM good !!

Maggie FARRIMOND died Oct 27 1964 in Cranbrook BC.
Frank CAMINITI died May 1st 1969.
