3. Thomas³ Hinckley (Gov.) (Samuel², Robert¹) was born in England 1618. Thomas died 4/25/1706 in Barnstable, MA.

He married Mary Richard 12/7/1641. Mary was born 1624. She was the daughter of Thomas Richard and Welthian Loring. Mary died 6/24/1659.

Thomas Hinckley (Gov.) and Mary Richard had the following children:

5 i. Melatiah⁴ Hinckley was born 1648/9. Melatiah died 2/2/1714/5. She married Josiah Crocker 1688. Josiah was born in Barnstable, MA 9/19/1647. He was the son of William Crocker (Deacon) and Alice unknown. (See Josiah Crocker for the continuation of this line.)

6 ii. Mehitable Hinckley was born 1658/9.
