Collectible China Buttons

Here's What's New

As I add to my china button collection, I'll post new information here.

January 17, 2001 added the following:

Salesman's Sample Card

This sample card featuring over 100 china buttons
is in the collection of B J Smyers.
It takes a minute for the scan to load,
but it's definitely worth the wait.
Shown all on one card are gaiters, whistles, 2, 3, and 4-hole buttons,
calicoes, ringers...and so much more.
It's really quite a find to view these buttons
as the store owner's of the late 1850's would have first seen them.
Thank you, B J for sharing this card.

Medium Chinas

Click here to see an entire card of
30 NBS Medium Chinas mounted on a competition card.
Since most china buttons are found in the small size,
putting together a card of size mediums can be quite a challenge.

Blue and Brown Chinas

Click here to see an entire card of
42 NBS Small Chinas (specified to 21 blue chinas and 21 brown chinas)
mounted on a competition card.
Each button is labeled.

I've also updated the gaiters section with new buttons: New Gaiters

And I've added more igloo buttons
to the section for Whistles and Igloos: New Igloos
