RAGTIME MUSIC

Ragtime music is rythmical, cheerful and makes you want to dance. It was pop music from the turn of the century, just in time for what some believe to be the turn of the millennium. It was most popular from the 1890's to the 1917's in the bordellos and saloons and was composed and performed mostly by African-Americans. A very famous composer was Scott Joplin. Here are just a few of the many great Ragtime tunes.
