Wilderness

The stories below are quite old and represent a time in my life when I actually noticed what destructon that progress caused.
I was very lucky to have grown up in the woods and live on 10 acres with close to 400 acres around us.
The images of my youth haunt me when I return to my old neighborhood to see the pillage of my childhood, for now there is subdivisions and mini malls where I used watch the deer and listen to the birds

To this day I still see the trees being cut down and fields vanishing forever under a sea of concrete.
Read on my friend and then take a look around your neighborhood.

Man from the city

A man came from the city.
He came to cut down the trees and build the roads.
To burn the fields and drive away the animals.
But when he saw the the beauty and the Glory of our God.
The mighty oaks above and the fine earth below.
He fell to his knees and wept.
Now he lives in the forest and loves the forest as his brother.

When will it end

When will the destruction end.
When there is no more trees
When there is no more room.
When all you see is concrete asphalt.
When the screech of a soaring eagle is replaced by the roar of a jet.
When the only masked bandits you see have guns
We must stop the destruction.
Let us not leave buildings in place of trees as our legacy to our children.
