A Letter to Aimee on her Birthday
Dear Aimee
Today is your birthday. You would have been 21 years old. You would have been so excited. 21, WOW! It has been almost 9 months since you were taken from us by a drunk driver. I miss you. We all miss you.
I can still hear your cute voice and I can even hear you giggling. I am glad that I can still hear you. I can still see your beautiful blonde hair shining in the Arizona sun. I am glad of that too. I hope that whenever I think of you, I will still be able to imagine you here and hear your sweet voice.
I have been thinking about you. Your mom and dad were just here for a visit. It was so nice to see them. Wish you could have come with them.
I think a lot of what you would have done with your life. I know you would have accomplished all your dreams. I would have enjoyed hearing about your flying for the Air Force, and would have been so so proud of you. I was already proud of you.
Speaking of being proud, you should see your little sister! She is in college in pre-med! She is enjoying it so much but I feel sad for her because I know that it is something she would have wanted to share with you. I hope that there is some way that you can look down on her and smile upon her and if she ever feels like her load is too heavy to carry, can you blow a fresh breath of heavenly air on her to help give her the strength to go on? She is going to be a doctor one day and will sometimes need extra encouragement when the going gets rough. But don't worry, she is very smart and dedicated and she will make it.
I miss you Aimee and just wanted to say a few words to you on your birthday.
Happy Birthday Aimee.
Love Auntie Tammy
