This is Gizmo, my 7 year old persian. I adopted him in NOV. of 1998. I believe he was born in Jan. of 1993. He is a very spoiled cat, but the sweetest cat you'll ever meet ! He is just a big black furball waiting to be loved.
I am so lucky to have such a special cat in my life. He is by far the most entertaining cat I have ever known. He is very quirky, too. He does some pretty weird things, like "swimming" on his stomach, attacking imaginery things on the wall, headbutting doors, after he eats he attempts to cover up his food dish as he would his "messes" in a litter box. I guess he's afraid someone will come and steal his grub. He's doing no good, just going through the motions :) It's so cute, though. Some of his favorite things to do:

*Hunting birds, small dogs, and other cats. He stalks them window to window. And God forbid if anything gets too close because he goes nuts trying to get at them. He's a strong cat, defensive of his home !
*Gizmo loves to attack the static on my computer screen and tv when I turn them off. He will run his paws up and down the screen , lick his paw, and then repeat the process. I have no idea what the big deal is, it's just one of his peculiar habits.
*He seems to enjoy seeking plastic of any kind. If he hears us open a plastic bag he will come running, turn his head in all sorts of angles trying to size it up and then will attempt to chew on it. We do not allow this of course and we take measures in hiding anything of the sort, including the edges of the garbage bag that hangs down from the garbage can in the kitchen.
*I adore the time Gizmo gives me back rubs. If I am sitting forward on the couch and chair he will stand up and rub my back for me. Ok,so he's just scent marking me , but he does an awful good job ! LOL

I just love Gizmo to death. I can't imagine my life with out the little goofball. He is my shadow, he's always by my side and ready to please. He purrs like a Harley, too !! Gizmo is indeed a blessing in my life !
