My mind wanders
into the distance darkness
of just hearing
The sounds of the night
I drift in and out of prayer
Silently telling God
my thoughts
my fears
my anxieties
my hopes
my dreams
Quietness overcomes me
My mind is calm and peaceful as
I feel His comforting hand
and hear Him telling me again
"I love you
I am in control"
